Why Walls have always been the number one Security measurements since Day 1. Safes, Walls, Business and Success TTW-2015

When managing, or owning a business one has many worries. Are we meeting our Goals, are we consistent, do we set a clear agenda, are we realistic with our Goals, are we creating a good work environment, are we profitable, are we segmenting ourselves to the right consumers, what do our consumers think about us. One could not put a cap on the number amount of worries.

No matter how much emphasis one puts in preventing these concerns, they are just part of the industry. However, a worry that will keep you restless at night if not done properly is Security!

If this is a worry of yours, how can one successfully run a business, it’s just something a professional cannot afford to ever worry about. The absence or  lack of security or leads to Chaos and you don’t ever want to invite chaos into your life. YOU DO NOT WANT CHOAS!! View your business as your own Castle, the safety of your staff and your business is a must. Kings need sleep, and Kings like sleeping in castles for a sense of security, without peace of mind a King cannot lead. So where do Kings get their sense of security? By sleeping behind STRONG secure walls. Buying himself time, of an unexpected event is an investment that will always be worth it.

Your Business may not be operating at all hours of the day but protecting it is a 24/7 Job. So, protecting your Castle to the upmost of your ability is a MUST. The best solution to Securing your “Castle” would be building barriers of safety between you and trouble with strong solid walls surrounding it. Having a Depository Wall Safe is one of or if not smartest decision you can ever make for your company just because knowing that even in the event of a burglary or robbery, the majority of your finances will be protected is reassuring.

Having a depository safe mounted inside the wall of your building adds an element of safety that no one will be able to easily steal the entire safe. The TTW-2015 C/E a B-rated Depository safe with ½” Steel Doors and (5) 1-1/4” Solid Steel Active Locking Bolts with and internal spring loaded to relock the device after ever opening is just another line of defense. The 4 Pre-Drilled Anchor Holes and Anti-Fish baffle prevents theft through deposit door.
Add a UL Listed Group II Mechanical Dial or a UL Listed Type 1 S&G Spartan Electronic Lock and your castle isn’t just a castle, NOOOO now your Castle is a FORTRESS OF SAFTEY. So, if you are trying to add that extra edge of security to make your Castle more secure it is worth investing into the Through the Wall Safe (TTW-2015).

Why are Drop & Depository Safes Prevalent?

Depending on the use one may have for a safe, depository safes are important for fast deposits. With a front drop loader or rotary hopper, there’s no need for entering a combination or code for opening a door to make a deposit. For the uninitiated, some people speculate why their keypad only lasted for a couple years when they’re using it 5-10 times a day.  The front drop access prolongs the life of the dial or keypad and decreases the wear and tear of the locking mechanism.  Great for commercial use, retail companies, restaurants, convenience stores, and money handlers love depository safes specifically for this reason. Before buying a depository safe, one may also ask these questions:

What is the range of currency I want to keep in a B rated depository safe?

Any answer for someone professional in the safe business to provide you to this question would be an opinion due to the fact that there are multiple security measures you should contemplate other than simply owning a safe. Ideally, the more money you need to keep in the safe, the more aware you want to be of the security protecting the safe itself.  Such as, having a depository safe with a couple thousand dollars sitting under the register with a blanket over it compared to having it in a locked room with a security system installed.

On a daily basis, how often will I make deposits?

As mentioned before, not having to enter a combination or code to open a door just to put things inside a safe saves time and insures longer lasting locks from excess use. If you need to make a safe deposit daily, look no further. Quick and fast deposits save time and worry when it comes to preventing potential lurkers while handling money.

A recommendation:

Whereas most safe manufacturers design B rated safes to meet the minimum requirements, (at least ¼” thick steel body with a ½” steel door) they don’t have a variety of different models. Unless you want to find a company to fabricate a safe to your measurements (which can be quite expensive) Hollon Safe Company will most likely have the model that meets your size specifications due to their considerable selection with an additional option of a roller hopper depository or front loading door. For example, their most popular depository safe HDS-2014 stands above its competitor model Not too heavy, not too light, at 90 lbs. the HDS-2014 is fit for any ideal location and can easily be concealed if needed. With an option of a Sergeant & Greenleaf dial or S&G Spartan keypad this safe is designed to meet the most basic needs one may have for a safe in mind. With 4 bolt down holes, a well-grounded heavy duty safe is not to be taken lightly when it comes to security. Not that looks matter when you shouldn’t show off your safe nevertheless Hollon does have better looking depositories compared to their competitor models such as Gardall and Amsec.

Protect Your Valuables With High-Security Safes

It always sounds cool when someone says they store things in a vault, doesn’t it? A vault has an air of high-class mystery to it. What’s in there? Jewels (a forever favorite of thieves)? Gold bars? Cash money? People will always wonder what’s locked up safe in a high security vault or safe, but they won’t know what’s inside unless they have the combination to open it up.

Value Safes sells high security safes for use in people’s homes and offices. In order to properly protect your belongings from theft or damage, you should consider investing in a high security safe which is built to do its job and do it well.

What makes high security safes a cut above the rest? Some of the features you can expect with these safes include electronic locks, fire resistant exteriors, and burglary resistant handles. They can also weigh 2,500 pounds or more, so they’re hard to move once they’re placed where you want them.

Take, for instance, the TRTL 30×6 safe. It’s built with a high density compressed concrete material encased within inner an.d outer magnesium steel hard plates. If that’s not enough to impress you, consider this: the concrete incorporates 26,000 PSI density and holds a matrix of nuggets and carbon fibers which further enhances its tensile strength. The reinforced armor plating protects the door frame and each individual bolt chamber from even the most sophisticated attack. TRTL 30×6 Safes are tested for 2 hours at 1750 degrees Fahrenheit.

TRTL stands for “Torch & TooL Resistant” on all 6 sides of the safe. This is a UL tested standard and is a very serious rating. Only consider purchasing one if your insurance company demands it. A multitude of relockers are designed and synchronized to engage if the safe is attacked. Meanwhile, dial or keypad non-manipulative locks are used.

For those who have expensive jewelry like diamond rings, bracelets and necklaces, worth thousands of dollars, Value Safe offers the TL-30 security Jewel Vault. Its composite body is 3” thick with a 6.5” thick door.

The Jewel Vault incorporates up to seven massive 2″ chromed locking bolts, secured with two The Jewel Vault high-security, U.L. listed Group II combination locks. Both locks are protected by a 1/4″ ball bearing anti-drill plate. Additionally, the mechanism is protected by dual plates of tempered glass, which will activate two randomly located relocking devices in the event of a safe attack. For ease of use, the safe incorporates an ingenious roller system, which reduces friction and lets the safe owner use the tri-spoke handle with incredible ease. In addition, each relocker is equipped with an internal captive cross lock, which secures the relocker bolt once it has fired.

How To Keep Your Business Safe

Safe

One thing to keep in mind when running or owning a business of your own is how you’re going to keep things safe. There are many valuable possessions you will acquire over time, such as revenue from your business and you’ll want a way to keep things like these safe in case of emergency. Purchasing a safe for your business is a great way to ensure the security of your belongings and these are the reasons why.

The first reason for this is that your valuables are protected from an event of theft taking place. Purchasing a good safe is going to keep any intruder from walking into your place of business and taking anything from you. Not only will it protect it from other people outside your business, but it will also secure your belongings in the event that a natural disaster occurs. Many times freak accidents take place like fires or floods and places of business are destroyed, along with everything inside of them. Most safes will prevent this from happening due to their superior durability.

Safes are also one of the most cost effective ways to protect your personal or business items as well. You might have to pay a decent chunk of money to purchase a top of the line model, however this purchase will last years to come, and the fact that your important info and items are safe will mean a great deal. Finally, you will always remember where you put the most important aspects when it comes to your business when using a safe. Not only will you know where to always find your things, but in case something happens to you, your loved ones will know exactly where to find it as well.

Creative & Clever Ways to Hide Your Safe

how to hide a safeEveryone knows what a safe is for.  You don’t put just anything in a safe, you store your most valuable items. These valuable items might not only be of monetary value, rather items of great importance. This can include, titles, deeds, birth certificates, passports, and Social Security cards. Stuff you don’t want to land in the wrong hands.

Even though you own a safe which greatly increases the safety of these items doesn’t mean that your safe can’t be stolen or broken into. For this reason is why it’s smart to place your safe in a smart and concealed area.  Here are some helpful hints and ideas that will hopefully help you decide where to place yours.

  1. Inside a closet is a great spot to put a safe.  Typically a closet in the master bedroom or office. It’s most important that it’s not in an area of high foot traffic or visibility. You want to make sure the safe stays out of sight, which is why if you can hide it in a walk in closest behind some hanging clothes this will ensure it’s not easily found or transported.
  2.

  3. Under the stairs. Most homes have that awkward half room, half closet space under the stairs. This is another secluded spot which can easily be concealed and forgotten. Sometimes these rooms can be setup with flush doors that look like a wall panel and are discernable to the naked eye.
  4.

  5. Have an old fridge? Fridges can pretty easily be converted into a handy hiding spot. This can be used if you don’t have a super-secret room under the stairs and all you have a corner in your garage. Again, you don’t want the garage door being open and someone to drive by and spot your safe. This makes your house an easy target. Hiding your safe in the Fridge can disguise it in plain sight.
  6.

  7. Building the safe into a wall can be a great option if you have the means to make it happen. This is ideal because the safe can be concealed completely behind the wall. If someone does happen to find where it’s at removing it becomes far more difficult and will require more tools and time by the thieves.
  8.

  9. The easiest and least expensive route to hiding your safe is to use a cardboard moving box. This will help conceal it but doesn’t require too much protection outside of disguise.

Hopefully these tips will give you a better idea where to place your safe and what may or may not be a good idea.

Hollon Safe B1414C B-rated Safes

Hollon Safe B1414C Safes

The Hollon Safe B1414C comes a Sargent & Greenleaf dial lock.  This is considered the top UL listed dial lock in the industry and should last for decades.  This security steel safe is also a true b rated safe. Where others in the safe industry are thinning the steel (kind of like a 2×4 lumber) Hollon Safe has stayed with the accepted standard that has not changed in the last 100 years.  The door is true 1/2 inch thick steel and the body is true 1/4 inch thick steel.  This safe also comes with 4 bolt down holes. That way you can secure to the foundation.

Hollon Safe also uses over sized bolts at 1.25 inch thickness. Which is 25% larger than competitors bolt size. Makes this safe the finest in the industry.

Hollon Safe B1414E

Hollon Safe B1414E Safe

Hollon Safe company has a new series of B-rated safes.  That are true b rated. The B1414E safe uses the old standard of 1/2 thick steel door and 1/4 inch thick body.  (Several brands have started thinning out the steel on the sides and only use 1/8 inch thick) Hollon Safe company also uses thicker bolts then competitors..about 25% thicker.

Also on this model is an electronic keypad…which I prefer because it is so convenient to get in and out of daily.  It is also easy to change the code on the keypad and not have to contact a locksmith to change the code. Check out the B1414 Safe.
